Cody Jacobucci is the Chief of Staff and a Founding Engineer at Blue Energy. Prior to Blue Energy, Cody spent nearly a decade designing and optimizing next-generation autonomous aircraft across SpaceX, Aurora Flight Sciences, and Boeing before venturing into early stage company building as an engineer, consultant, and investment analyst. He brings deep experience at the intersection of complex systems engineering, tough tech investing, and early team building.

Cody holds two degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT and an honorary degree from the University of Cambridge as an MIT-Cambridge Fellow. His research has spanned decentralized power generation from agricultural waste in rural India through the prestigious Tata Fellowship, and thermal energy storage, atmospheric water harvesting, and carbon capture technologies under the guidance of Prof. Evelyn Wang at MIT’s Device Research Lab.

Cody joined Blue Energy with the conviction that enabling an energy-abundant future is one of the most important and meaningful challenges of our time—and that there’s no better group of people to build it with. Outside of work, Cody enjoys training for mid and long-distance races, cooking for his family, volunteering with his church’s youth group, and running around outside with his two daughters and wife.  If you want a big bowl of pasta, or to work at Blue Energy, send him a note!
